The total area of Federation Island will amount to more than 250 hectares where more than 40,000 guests can be accommodated.

The location is in the Black sea waters opposite Maly Akhun mountain in Khosta region, Sochi, 13 kilometers away from Adler airport and 14 kilometers from the central railway station.

Two tunnels directing traffic streams of M-27 highway and Novorossiysk highway, a footbridge and a port station providing navigation will connect the islands with the mainland.




The artificial land protected with breakwaters will have hotels, apartments, villas, shopping centers, business and entertainment complexes as well as social infrastructure objects. All the main roads and parkings will be located underground that will allow to create a unique aboveland grass-green landscape with low-rise buildings and walkways.

The island territory will include the following functional areas:

• Recreational part (hotels, parks and walking areas, sport sites, swimming pools, marinas for yachts);
• Residential part (villas, apartments, trading and service objects, restaurants and shops);
• Public and business part (business complexes, congress center, exhibition hall);
• Social amenities (school, kindergarten, polyclinics with an ambulance department, first-aid points, firefighting brigade, police station).

The project implementation will be completed in 2013 and reclaimed territory will amount to more than 250 hectares.
